I did Ixl understanding Rational and Irrational numbers. In my opinion this was easier than I thought. I made sure that I read the questions and understood the answers. Rational numbers are numbers that you can write as fractions so then from that piece of information I was able to get my answers which majority of them were correct !
Cybersmart
In our class when doing cybersmart we must finish tasks from the previous weeks before moving onto the next ones. This week I finished my Managing Bookmarks task. I had to compare my old bookmarks bar to my now bookmarks bar. I first deleted all the bookmarks from the previous years and the ones I don’t use anymore. I then cleaned it up by puting it in folders which makes my bookmarks bar look much more cleaner. Check out my Amazing work!
Cybersmart
This week for Cybersmart we learnt how to screen cast. Our instructions were to firstly link in our class site. Then we had to screencast and take a tour of our class site. If I were to rate how easy it is to use I would rate it 10/10. Now I know I can screencast whenever and wherever I want (right site right times only).
Maths W3 T1
For Maths this week we had to enlarge a shape. My chosen shape was Diamond. I had a scale factor of 2, a scale factor is how many times you would enlarge the shape by. I started of by measuring the sides with a ruler, each side turned out to be exactly 3.5 cm long. I then doubled those numbers making it 7 cm on each side. My shape turned twice as big as it was before. I then wrote how many original diamonds would fit into my enlarged version, 4 diamonds can fit into my enlarged version. I then lastly learnt that parallel means lines will never meet.
Cybersmart W8
This week for Cybersmart we had to check if our Blog Posts were professional. I had to insert a screenshot of one of my blog posts and check if it was a quality blog post, turns out it was! Check out my evidence of my learning this week!
Cybersmart W7 T4
This week for Cybersmart we had a task called Cybersmart Vocab, We had to complete two simple tasks, A word search and we had to match the description. I found this Cybersmart Task fun. My favorite part was the word search. I was also able to learn more about smart money and smart smurfing. If you haven’t already, Check out my completed slides!
Smart Media Cybersmart W1
For our cybersmart tasks we had to find the meaning and who made these different medias. The 2 we had to figure out were the Mcdonald’s Monopoly and Waka Kotahi Advertisement. Then we had to pick a media of our choice and do the same thing. I picked Netflix. Check out my work.
Team Tui Probability Learning
This morning Team Tui gathered to the hall and did some Math, but in a fun way. First we played a game called Blocko where we had 11 blocks. Then we had a paper which was numbered 2-12. Then we spread 11 blocks around the paper. After, Mr Herlihy rolled a dice and it would land on a number. He would add the numbers and whatever number it added upto that is the number we would take off that number on the paper. Honestly Blocko was my favorite part. I reccomend playing blocko because it is a fun way for maths.

Matariki Festival 2023
On Thursday the 14th of September Glen Taylor School had a Matariki Festival. I was in the Kapa Haka group and we performed before heading to our stations. We had different activites and my activities were PlayDough and Word Search. I found the station pretty easy because we just had to tell the customers the instructions. I decided to try out some scavenger hunts and they were really fun. One thing I would change was probably me actually trying harder to decorate my station. Something I hope to do better next time is to try and get more customers.
